A quick visit to Cox Cove

The Newfoundland part of the journey is all but at an end , it’s been interesting to say the least. The people of this region are friendly , helpful and hugely talented. It’s a tough environment most of the year, the weather can get nasty, the landscape is unforgiving if you get things wrong, And then there’s the moose, or caribou or elk or reindeer which can kill you

Hospitality and welcoming atmosphere wherever you find a local is a given and it was on this last day here we decided to see what Cox Cove looked like as we had some time to spare before heading to the ferry. Why Cox Cove, well it’s my surname so that’s reason enough, but then when you get there it’s plain to see that even in the spring season there are some uncommonly beautiful places on this planet and this is surely one.

The Atlantic waters are pristine here

Fish and chips if you are passing, totally worth it

This is going to get printed for the wall at home !!
